Privacy Policy

Data we collect

• Anonymous device identifier — generated to save your progress and power the leaderboard; also shared with advertising partners if you allow tracking (see below).
• Optional profile info — a display name and email address, only if you choose to claim a leaderboard rank or back up your progress. Never required to play.
• Gameplay data — levels completed, scores and points, endless-mode best runs, solve times, and in-game currency balances. Used to save progress, run the leaderboard, prevent cheating, and tune puzzle difficulty.
• Purchase history — which in-app products you bought (managed via Apple and RevenueCat). We never see or store your payment card details; Apple processes all payments.
• Crash data and product interaction analytics — anonymous, used to fix bugs and improve the game.

Data we do not collect

• No passwords or accounts, no contacts, no location, no messages.
• Your profile picture (if you set one) stays on your device — photo library access is used only to pick a local avatar image; photos are never uploaded.

Advertising and tracking

• The app shows ads (rewarded and interstitial) served by Google AdMob.
• On first launch, iOS asks permission to track ("Allow Apps to Request to Track"). If you allow, your device's advertising identifier is shared with our advertising and attribution partners to show more relevant ads. If you decline, you still get ads — just non-personalized ones.
• Purchasing Remove Ads stops third-party ads entirely.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your data: Settings → Delete Account inside the app removes your server-side data (leaderboard entry, backup). You can also email support@thought-escape.com.
• Export: email support@thought-escape.com to request a copy of your data.
• Tracking: withdraw consent anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Notifications: reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device; no push tokens are collected. Disable them in iOS Settings anytime.

GDPR (EEA / UK)

Our legal bases for processing are your consent (for tracking and personalized ads) and legitimate interest (for saving gameplay progress, running the leaderboard, and improving the game). You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data — email us to exercise any of these.

CCPA (California)

We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. Sharing your device advertising identifier with ad partners may qualify as "sharing" under CCPA — declining the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt (or enabling Limit Ad Tracking in iOS Settings) is our opt-out mechanism.

Data retention

• Gameplay and leaderboard data are kept while you play; deleted on request or via Delete Account.
• Crash and analytics data are retained per the third-party providers' standard windows.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
